What is Skilled Worker
A skilled worker is any worker who has a special skill, qualification, knowledge and training to work in their field. The candidate might have attained a special qualification from a college/ university/institute or might have gained the skills by on job trainings.
Skilled Immigration
The Skilled Immigration is points based immigration system on factors such as age, work experience, your qualifications, and an offer of skilled employment. The candidates get the points on the above mentioned factors.
The Government of Canada was earlier accepting the applications on the basis of the program called Federal Skilled Worker category but In January 2015 opened a new system for managing economic applications for permanent residency called as Express Entry. This system classified the migrants as
- Federal Skilled Workers
- Provincial Nominee Class
- Canadian Experience Class
- Federal Skilled Trades Person
